Yes, the introduction dates for the new trains were redacted, however I believe the document states that the mk.3's had to be in "unrestricted passenger service" by 1 April 2017. That's over two years since extra capacity was supposed to be in service.

I have been told that these runs are replacing the Crewe-Wavertree runs for Manchester drivers to refresh class 68's. It is better this way as most drivers don't sign the Wavertree route and needed a route conductor, whereas this route is signed by all.

I see that the Longsight-Carlisle fault free running trips haven't operated yet this week.
