I had cause to write to GTR a couple of years ago when the doors failed to open (in my carriage at least) at Lewes. The response I received showed no indication they had comprehended the issue, let alone looked into it further with the relevant people / systems.
We have seen cases on this forum where GTR revenue staff have clearly not understood the limitations of the the data available on-the-day about the tap-ins and outs of contactless/Oyster users, and have treated customers poorly as a result.
