I was impressed by SNCF's railcard integration - I was able to buy a railcard in advance to start on the first day of my travel (so my 12 month validity didn't start till I actually travelled). But I couldn't buy the ticket without being sure of having a valid railcard at the time of travel...
I had a problem when using a multi-operator East Sussex ticket purchased on the Stagecoach app (which didn't disable NFC) on a Ticketer machine on a Brighton & Hove bus.

There's a coffee kiosk in a horse box - the Little Green Coffee Box - immediately outside Bournemouth Station (under the station canopy) that does a very decent coffee and is infinitely preferable to the Starbucks inside the station.
I miss the ByTrain app which was hands down the cleanest and slickest iOS train departures app.
I currently use the app called 'UK Live Train Times' but the navigation is clunky. Especially when you quickly want to see departures at your nearest station

You do often hear this when trains are crush-loaded - people don't express it as a demand for 'compulsory reservations' but it's common for people to wonder why more tickets are sold than seats (without thinking through the consequences)
