Safety or not, if I was caught reading a newspaper at my safe desk in company time at work, my boss would not be impressed period. IMO no driver should be taking a newspaper to read in their cab. Doesn't look good to the public even if the driver is on an official break.

As much as I understand your frustration TUC, I guess booking a train seat is not like booking an aircraft seat which would be more precise. Train configs are changed more often than types of aircraft and so for advanced bookings it will be more hit or miss. But interested to know is there...

I do EC LDS to LGX and back nearly every other Friday FC and there have always been menus on every table since eureka started. Only reason I can think of for tables missing menus is customers removing them. The only time I have ever been offered the hot meal was a 17:00 service to Edinburgh...
