Never a dull Sunday on the ECML it seems!!!

Just want to see what people think of their previous local TOCs vs the one they have now. I am aware the some areas only ever had one of them like, South West Trains, Virgin West Coast and First Great Western (1st area). Wonder if any people actually preferred their former TOC and now...

So the curse of Sundays strikes the ECML once again!! Doesn't look like the coasting issues that plagued it before though, just looks like signal issues. Just checked NR site and some services running into KGX up to 3 hours late! Ouch!

Points failure has struck Liverpool Street again! Related to the problem earlier in the week perhaps?

On a similar theme, I was exploring round Google Streeview and I saw a XC Voyager on this route as well. See for yourselves if you look for The Parkway (A312) and 'drive' up the left side of the bridge and look left.

Looks like the ECML has been hit by tragedy again (fatality assuming) Morning rush hour was affected by someone being hit at Hadley Wood. Now there is another incident of similar nature at New Barnet just in time for the evening peak. It does seem that there are more of these instances...

More delays on the ECML this Sunday, if the 'broken down train' is due to the same reason of coasting, all I can say is hmmmm!!!

Lightning strike has caused big problems from Waterloo/Victoria trains at rush hour too! Worst hit seems to be the South Eastern trains from Vic. Must be pretty chaotic at those terminals right now.

Wow... wonder if they should have anticipated this or not? (Sorry, I don't have a lot of tech knowledge about the railway, just a fan! :lol:) Sounds like there will be some serious questions to be asked whenever the big guys meet about this incident.

This seems to have been a problem all day! Seems to be taking ages to fix a broken down train, so I was wondering if it was much worse (like a fire). Surely, they would have moved it ASAP. Anyone got any further details?

Sounds like a pantograph problem leading to wire damage, but sounds like it will take a while to fix!

If National Express get any of them (especially the Great Western), well might as well switch to the car!!!

Apparently, there are big delays on this route. NR just reports there is some sort of incident on a Thalys train. There is a French info link provided by NR, but my French ability is near zero! tried Google translate but that proved to be near useless. Translation: Traffic problems on...

Sounds like a big job to fix that rail then. Excuse my ignorance, I wonder what can cause a conductor rail to break? I can guess at weather issues (extreme heat or cold) and perhaps yobbos sabotaging the track!!!

Pretty horrible day for delays at the moment. ECML with big problems at Potters Bar Person hit at Tile Hill causing problems into Birmingham. Chiltern route also has problems at High Wycombe. Main route into Norwich has delays at Chelmsford. Some sort of obstruction is messing up...

Seems to be a truly horrible evening for this route with a death (presumedly) somewhere on the line near Petersfield and moments later another person hit at Hilsea. In addition, there was some other incident at Havant too that added to the pandemonium. I had no experience of it first hand...
