yes it is London Overground but that who is handling recruitment. I got a job at Chiltern and all my interview etc that was aranged was with this office. I didn't get handed over to Chiltern HR until I accepted the offer.

You will also find that XC are incredibly picky with who they employ. I know a number of drivers with clean records, good people who didn't even get shortlisted!

I used to travel about 60 miles to work to my depot. like has been said above. drive only on early earlies and late lates and train normally which was 90 minutes. As long as I had a good book or a film to watch or I could catch up on sleep I was happy (when on the train obviously!)

I don't have the diary,I don't use it so it gets recycled which I suppose has stung me this year!

XC has just done or about to do an internal trainee course for drivers. Word on the grapevine is that it is all RSMs which has pi**ed of TM's who applied. I imagine this is the best chance of getting a trainee job at XC as they will most likely never take off the street.

I worked for XC on day 1 of the franchise when we came from Central and Sundays were committed but outside. Thanks you for your input guys. I actually sign a large amount of the routes that Derby and New St need to learn. Just need to convince XC I suppose!

I heard about the 4 and 5 day option. If you choose 5 day is that a guaranteed extra rest day paid each week or is it more like the extra day you worked you get off in another week (as a block)

I put the two rakes in Longsight. Been told that the depot is now full and they cannot accept anymore rakes so should be interesting to see where the next lot go as they are waiting at Portbury!

Worth also pointing out that both driver trainers have left WMT within the last month. They are currently borrowing DIs to get things done, but they are desperately needed at depots. Some drivers from previous courses are sat around in depots waiting for DIs to get on with their training. As...
