I know of a depot that would not let drivers join ASLEF unless they ticked the political fund box. I thought that was dodgy to say the least but it did happen.
My chiltern one works at new street and also Waterloo and Fratton (I had a PRIV ticket but tried it anyway out of interest) Doesn't work on LUL stations though!!
There are one or two in the test that someone who ISN'T colour blind can't see anything but someone with specific colour blindness will see a number...
yes train was running back after encountering a landslip, the location where it derailed could have been dislodged by anything after the train initailly passed hence why it was caught out on the way back. News from the scene is that is 3 crew and 6 passengers as indicated above. One crew member...
I am a qualified new driver who hasn't done anything for weeks now. Been told that Company Council has only agreed to trainees going back in social bubbles and not qualified so at home I remain
Southern is Selhurst, thats where the driver sims are. Streatham is used occasionally for guards training, where would West Worthing be there is nothing there? They might do some traction there but if we are going to be that loose then you could say the whole network. I have certainly travelled...
or perhaps the Union is deciding whether training for your role can resume so they have held off giving you the job and a start date?
I was emplyed elsewhere but have been on hold at home as I cannot train at the moment

Just bear in mind that those of you waiting to join will be most likely slowed down as you cannot do anything if you are given a start...

South Eastern is at Ashford (I think)

can you see the numbers with the corrective lenses you mentioned?
Sometimes I find the railway very behind the times and I am surprised there haven't been legal challenges as they perclude a number of people who "with reasonable adjustments" could meet the standards.
Colour blind people can...
there have to be exemptions to everything otherwise you could be banned for drink driving then ask DVLA to delete all your driver records and then pass your test again and ningo! avoided a driving ban. Silly example but thats why there are exemptions.
You couldn't enforce the 2 fail rule if you...
DO Moor Street Chiltern sign to Kidderminster? I was under the impression that only Stourbridge do hence their existance. The diagrams I have for Stourbridge seem to cover all the booked workings that go beyond Brum?
Frustrating doesn't cover it. Especially when I then tried to have her investigated for lying to police and it was ignored. Don't let it ruin your chance to be a train driver!
