Delay repay where ticket is not used in full

They insisted on full details of my day's journey otherwise wouldn't process claim. They have now finally approved the claim. It's only been given at 50% of the return cost, but it's still a good outcome. It's technically correct, if a bit pedant's corner Intended was Bridgwater 19.46, reality...

Delay repay where ticket is not used in full

@Watershed Gwr not handling this very well. Not had issues with them in past. Want full itinerary for my day even though its 2 unrelated journeys that just happen to be on same ticket the second one doesn't even start (Bridgwater) where 1st one ended (Parson St). I'm trying to tell them how...

Brighton - London via Lewes and staff training at Lewes

Maybe you're right but isn't that the very essence of their job? It would be like a plumber who doesn't know how to change a tap

Delay repay where ticket is not used in full

Well they replied with an action message saying journey missing a leg. Link to update claim but there was nowhere to add text to explain. So resubmitted as is hoping different person will view it differently and also emailed customer service 1752250932 So the 2nd person rejected it too...

Delay repay where ticket is not used in full

Could someone advise what the policy is for claiming delay repay where the journey claimed for is not the entirety of the ticket due to break of journey? To make it more concrete, on 15 June the 19.46 from Bridgwater to Taunton was cancelled as was the one an hour later. This caused a 2 hour...

trivia songs that mention trains/ railways

depends on your tastes! I prefer the Ferocious Dog version and have had some amazing circle pits to this live 1749879913 Only had time to look through 5 pages of this! But anyone got Cuban Boys - Cognoscenti vs Intelligentsia? The first line is "station announcer" and the line "why don't we all...

    Bradford Interchange-Reading-Todmorden

On expenses, I find increasingly I get split tickets most of the time as Trainline for Business tends to produce them quite often

Use/meaning of the term "Open return"

My understanding was that open return means period return ie open dated? It was certainly how I've always used the terms

Lumo - passenger experience criticised in Which? review

The mention in the article linked by the OP about a need to get tickets accredited if your train is cancelled is certainly not in keeping with the traditions and usual terms and conditions of rail in the UK

    Malaga buses

Not suggesting installing new systems just using the reader that's there, so that people don't need to mess about with change or even end up not being able to travel - they're stubborn it seems, so think we've taken this as far as we can!

    Malaga buses

So it's not just one driver? But as there's a reader they can take bank card (and in my view should to be helpful to tourists, helps the economy) but together are choosing not to do so. Quite weird

Train dispatched as I was pressing the button to open the doors

I find that helpful actually, if the train has been dwelling over 10 seconds and not everyone is off yet a few whistles is a good encouragement. I've had times when people take ages to get off and no one whistles. New St seems to be a problem for that too. My 'favourite' example is at Crewe when...

    Bordeaux minimum connection time

Wouldn't recommend. I mean I missed a 5 min connection at Peckham Rye the other day and I know it well, so doing it in an unfamiliar station is not going to happen

    Malaga buses

No I just saw reader and presumed that's for bank cards as 'as you do' - but I'll check more carefully if I go back

    Malaga buses

Great, might just have been a blip. M-110 from Torrequebrada to Torremolinos, driver said no card then what did he do, take a card from the local behind me. There was a reader!

    Malaga buses

This driver didn't want card from non locals! Not sure if they had different card or not. Good to know most of them would take it you think

    Malaga buses

Anyone used buses in Malaga or Torremolinos? When I was there recently, the fella would only take cards from locals and was really grumpy about change. Not easy when you're so far away from home. Is it just a bad moment, or is there some sort of system to decipher?
