Thanks. I'm quite keen to do a bit of exploring on foot / some photography making a few links with the train network. As a football fan I thought I might bounce around some grounds one day (sad I know but I've been to over half of the league grounds now and the chance of going to many more soon...
I'm off work and down in Birmingham all next week for a random reason with free days to fill. I was planning on mooching around a bit using the transport network. I'll probably be doing this for three days, so wanted to ask a couple of questions:
1. Am I right in thinking the 1 day daytripper...
There is a serious point there. Surely the police / NR / EWS and whoever would be quite within their rights to bill Greenpeace given that their actions were (as it appears) not a peaceful protest but broke a few laws.
Does "disable ticketing" in "accurate and impartial retailing" cover the process of refusing to sell me tickets no matter what my colour, race or gender?
Apart from the poor decision about the penalty I didn't think Clattenburg did too badly (yes, there was the corner business as well).

Unless they give away free pie.
How hard can it be to put one sentence stating the main validity of the Off-Peak ticket (from XXXXhrs / only for trains arriving XXXXhrs) and sell it at all times? Or even that main, important validity point to be printed on the ticket.
If someone buys an incorrect cheaper ticket (especially...
I'm sure when buying advances on sites where you can select your own seats I have been faced in the past with only being able to select some of the 'less desirable' seats (a seat is a seat in my opinion and having used Virgin a lot I'm happy to get one). I assumed this was because Advance...
I have been teaching (on and off amongst other job roles) for 10 years now and found the first 6 months the most intensive. I did the PGCE part time 'on the job' and this made me realise that applying all the good principles you get taught during the training really do help.
I found that...
Is that the one one the bridge? Had a good set of beers in when I visited a couple of years ago.
Popped into the pub upstairs in Manchester Piccadilly a few weeks ago and almost had a coronary at the prices. I'd expect higher rates at a transport hub but £9 for two beers seemed a bit OTT.
