Regular train users tend to resume train usage once IA ends. Current rail usage shows that usage hasn't deminished, it has in fact grown, over the years regardless of any industrial action.

I think you'll find the majority of rail users also have cars, they choose to use trains for various reasons. Industrial action is nothing new. Even these 24hr walkouts by TSSA are nothing compared to what has happened since 2020 with RMT and to a lesser extent ASLEF.
