Well, if you were travelling on a Saturday or Sunday, the 08:57 to Brussels gets you in to Berlin at 21:34. (Unfortunately, Mon - Fri you have to leave at 08:27). As I'm sure you know, you just have to play around with the connection time in Brussels to make sure it connects on to an ICE...

What kind of ticket have you got? Going to (nearly anywhere) in Germany is usually cheaper and probably quicker via Brussels.

Why not? You're talking about a journey of, say, 100 - 120 minutes. Lille and its surrounding area is not one of the richest areas of France. (Although it has improved significantly as a result of high-speed rail links). Think of it as a Chiltern Railways service with extra security. :)

There are some very imaginative dishes there. They're not too complicated, so it shouldn't be too difficult to match the delivery to the presentation. Hopefully, it will mean that Virgin will have to up its game.
