There is to be a 9 week block closure of the Ashford International to Hastings line in January for Ore tunnel work as well as points/signalling refresh.
This will mean the following stations will become redundant, having no other services:
Ham Street (HMT)
Appledore (Kent) (APD)
Rye (RYE)...
What are the future of platform tickets? Personally I like them, as they prevent barrier staff giving you trouble with allowing you onto platforms.

I used to have a Ashford International (AFK) to Hastings (HGS) monthly season ticket. It cost the same as an AFK to St. Leonards Warrior Square (SLQ) monthly. Revenue Protection were happy for me to travel through to SLQ. Out of respect I told the conductor each time I intended to do it however.
I can price you walk up fares now using the current Avantix but it runs out before you travel so I imagine fares will change slightly.
Any permitted walk up fares for 2 Adults 2 Children with Family & Friends is £170.40.

Playing about with NFM 10, I can't find a fare for the following:
A National Rail station which does not serve London Overground trains to Bury MTLK, but any NR station which has London Overground connections can find it?
Underground stations don't work either.
Whats going on?
Showed my guard the printout from Avantix and he remarked that he has never heard of it before. The ticket is much cheaper than my dayrider in Ashford!
