I'd like to know as well, I have 2 outstanding applications with them, one for a Guard position where I passed the assessment day in December but haven't heard anything since, I reckon this is the reason.
I presume you mean network rail - https://ebus2.hiav.networkrail.co.uk/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=4630770&resp_id=23350&resp_appl_id=800&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US¶ms=MKIbtCemV6Th3QS8DUOq8SJD.5eTT4Ox9a3AEHunHOYgOGPrQrnwySBIcZZtDrUY I have found that I have to keep clearing the...
I have passed the assessments and just waiting on an interview, all I can say is practice all of the test material they sent you, brush up on your maths, ie percentages etc. I found the concentration test the most demanding as you need to be on the ball for quite long time and my hand was...
As above really, I think the joy of getting the job would far out way the expense, certainly for me anyway ! I'm surprised they don't give you s rail pass though, SWT did when I went to Southampton for an assesment.
I did it friday morning and had an email first thing Monday morning. I'm not reading too much into it as the scores are ranked and the top one's get an interview. As I'm 52 I'm hoping my 30 years Operational experience will help to get me through, I am also in the process of Guard and Train...
Well I appear to have passed the online tests, to what level we will have to wait and see. I guess it's now a waiting game as with everything in the railway industry.
OK Thanks, yeah I heard about working the public at Southampton, a friend of mine did it recently. It does make you wonder though, why advertise the job if they don't need anyone at that time, I guess they are readying people for when they do. Trouble is when you are out of work it's a long...
Just come across this thread, I applied for Staines back in December and haven't heard a thing, anyone else who applied for Staines heard something, should I call them ? Also have an application in for Guard with SWT and passed the assesment day back in December but heard nothing else for that...
OMG I have just done the 3 online tests, I do not like those SHL tests and have done that kind at work before, many have said in the past they don't feel confident on the results and I am one of them, let's wait and see what happens.
Yep just received the email now, so to confirm I only need to do it once, I am used to doing tests but do you have any tips or things to swat up on. Interesting about Basingstoke, is that the same place that trainee train drivers go to study as I have a friend there right now.
Can I ask where the course is held as it looks like I'm not too far from you. So I have applied online and the system says "Invited to Test", should I be getting an email or something as nothing has arrived yet, I believe they give you practice material.
Ok Thanks, and regarding the initial online application with the 70 questions, would I be right in saying that the first 35 should be answered fully but the following one's seem to be aimed at internal recruits and should be answered with a NO. I'm sure I have seen elsewhere on this forum...
Ok so I have just started an online application for a Signaller position and there are a lot of questions/sections that require a fairly substantial answer, does their system save as you go along as I don't want to type it all out only to find the system has timed out, I guess I could write it...
