I know someone the same age as you and is in training, I too am the same age and going through the application process, although I have also been offered a signalling job which was my other choice.

I have done both, you could be right on the time taken to do it, especially on the second one, which I kind of took my time a bit to make sure I got it right, time will tell if I or everyone else did it right.

I did the Alphanumeric test this morning, nothing to worry about.

Keep at it guys, I applied for at least 10 signalling positions and had many rejections, then suddenly got invited to 2 interviews. Had my interview and was offered the job the next day. I too thought I had not made the grade with the online tests. I have to say I think most people pass them...

I have applied, I did get a warning email saying it could get taken down so managed to do it in time. I was used to the short time scale as SWT only give you about 2 days to apply. I'm not too worried now though as I have just been offered a signallers job and I am very happy.
