The station will open in December apparently according to a RAGES update today (apologies it was on Facebook). This will be before the Markle crossing works are complete.
Has there been anything else on planned service frequency yet. East Linton is now on real time trains showing calling trains when I looked at a random date in December.
Was in East Linton the other day. Station itself well advanced and pretty much complete. Surrounding paths and car park still need work.
I don’t think the work at Markle crossing has started yet either.
The road is being rerouted as per this link which gives more info:

The new access bridge is at Markle further along the line. This apparently starts in April and will take 9 months to complete. This will replace the Markle level crossing which is apparently required before the station opens due to the different speeds of express and stopping services.
The...
I think the station itself is well on the way however there is still a fair bit to do in the car park and I believe there are some land ownership issues delaying this.
Some of the trains to Man Pic from Leeds and York are not able to go via Guide Bridge today. Was on the 0958 this morning (which arrived at Stalybridge at 1021), crawled out of the station then fired down through Victoria without stopping, round Ordshall and into Picc platform 13. I believe...
First trip on a refurbed 390 today. Very impressed with standard class. No longer are people scrumming for table seats to get charging points. I like the green theme and the seat was fine.
Not so impressed with the hourly off peak timetable from Manchester - the train was absolutely rammed and...
Supposed to be travelling from Stalybridge to Leeds today but it looks as though every service on the Hull route (the one that stops at Stalybridge) has been cancelled with National Rail blaming train crew issues

Footbridge now installed at East Linton
Had the luxury of ten cars on my Manchester to Birmingham International service yesterday. Quite pleasant really but those Voyagers are crying out for a decent refurb.
I have noticed alot of shot formed 185s recently. All of the Hulls were supposed to be 6 cars and some of the peak Huddersfields were the same but every single one I have joined over the last couple of weeks has been 3 car only. Maybe I am just unlucky?
Yeah LNER won’t call but the new TPE Newcastle/Berwick to Edinburgh service will call. I think it was to be 7 calls a day in each direction. It’s only a 5-car 802.
I just wondered if the ScotRail Dunbar services in between would also call.
Just wondering if there is a possibility that ScotRail might stop their Edinburgh to Dunbar services at East Linton too or is it likely to just be the TPE services only?
