HS2 Construction Updates - Birmingham Area

There is no need to worry for the northern parts of the delta junction, they won't be needed for a long time. I suspect they are correctly concentrating on bits which are needed for the initial testing stretch of the HS2, which will have to provide access between Washwood Heath and the main...

    DLR B23 Stock (CAF Inneo)

Cool, nothing to see here then. Years of delays should be accepted, or even applauded. Part of the problem with this country is culture of the constant excuse. Nobody is ever guilty of incompetence, there are are always "good reasons" helpfuly provided by apologists. Does any manager ever pays...

    DLR B23 Stock (CAF Inneo)

No, but after certain milage they won't be allowed to run without a heavy overhaul. And nobody is going to approv and pay for that in case of trains which are about to be scrapped. Because I'm neither engineer nor a programmer. Also, nobody pays me to solve their mess.I assume that between the...

    DLR B23 Stock (CAF Inneo)

But eventually they run out of mileage on the old trains. What then? Shutting some branches? Can someone just get a grip of the whole badly run process?

    HS2 Old Oak Common

There is surprisingly little progress regarding both bridges, the one over Old Oak Common Lane and the one over Central Line. I guess they have a year to build them, the big blockade to slew the tracks is next Xmas if I remember correctly.

So much PR drive behind a little more than deep clean, plus sockets.

    Southeastern metro fleet replacement/improvement

All valid points but it boils down to one major question. When will the DfT, and the treasury, be ready to give green light. Everything else is secondary.

    DLR B23 Stock (CAF Inneo)

Of course they can't scrap them but god knows how long will take them to sort out the issue. Let's just say that the whole process up to date doesn't fill me with the confidence of quick resolution.

    HS2 Old Oak Common

Unlikely. The last time I have passed the area (2-3 weeks ago) they were far from the stage where roof construction could start.
