MTR Crossrail Trainee Driver (Multiple Locations)

Hi.... Do they ask specific questions or just expect you to ramble on and say what you know? I've researched a lot and can answer a lot of questions, but don't have too much faith in myself to be able to put that all in a presentation like way....

Finally have a date for my DMI, was hoping for a bit of info regarding it, as this is the first time Crossrail haven't provided any kind of info in order to prep.... Have heard of some having a general chit chat, and others being grilled on the history of crossrail.... Any other surprises? Lol

MTR Crossrail Trainee Driver (Multiple Locations)

Good luck in passing the DMI guys.... Any info on what to expect, have heard its either a general chit chat or tell them a history of crossrail. Shall prepare for both as have a date for mine now (26th Nov) just is scary not having any info from them about it at all.

The MMI is competency based, they definitely mark you and you'll find out on the day if you passed or not. If you don't pass they tell you what question you failed on and a brief reason why. The DMI I haven't done yet, I've heard 2 different versions, you either have a chit chat about...

All the best for today! Are you at the Maidenhead depot? Do you still have to go to Liverpool Street for all the training etc?

I didn't purchase anything extra, just used the training book they provided. Printed out multiple copies at work and just kept practising these.

Great news! What depot are you applying for? And when did you do your personality test?

MTR Crossrail Trainee Driver (Multiple Locations)

It's seems they now hold the stage 2 assessments in Watford, this means they only have the capacity to assess 6 people at a time (I was there on Friday) which I'm assuming isn't really enough to get through all the people waiting. As for email responses, I've emailed MTR and OPC regarding things...

They seem to be a bit overwhelmed with applicants right now, I wouldn't worry to much. Just be ready to attend an assessment day within a week (which is what happened to me)

Get there early, not 1 minute late. And practise, they give you everything you need to be able to pass the tests in the practise booklet.

I was the lone female, still shocked at the time spent sorting out pens whilst we were all 'patiently' waiting.... Successful though, so I'll let him off... Lol Congrats to all who passed today!
