The wyvern service is an oddity. Currently WYN has 5 outbound trips every 30 minutes between 7.05 and 9.05, and 7 inbound trips between 15.20 and 18.20 Monday to Friday.
1B will have outbound trips at 7.30, 7.50, 8.10 and 8.35 and inbound trips at 16.58, 17.23 and 17.48.
I guess the starkest...
Didn't realise the 8 was being reduced in frequency. Are they using the same number of buses and increasing running time/layover to improve reliability.
The 1b is being diverted to take in the peak time only wyvern route (at peak times). The part it misses in Alvaston still has several 1a/c...
Ex kinchbus mango liveried Volvo's 714/6 are now back with Barton at Nottingham, covering for 111 and 138 which are off the road with accident damage. Both were on indigo when new.
There was one on there earlier in the week too,4224 I think. Some of the roads off Stenson Rd where the 6 runs are quite tight even for the Streetlites.
Won the tenders but what if Evolve or any other operator register it commercially, as we've seen with other tenders in the area recently?
Will be interesting to see how diamonds £4 flat fare works out for them. Will it drive customers to using Trent or other operators where routes overlap, and...
To be fair they often renew or refresh brands every 5 to 10 years. They even have older and newer MMCs running side by side on mickleover. Have they ever stuck to one bus type for over 10 years before? Does it have as much of an impact if the new buses look the same as the old ones?
Personally think Evora's would be worth waiting for, especially for x38. Things change. There is a lot of uncertainty due to franchising, and reluctance to invest in vehicles without funding towards it.
Think all 4 of the YX17 e400 deckers are now in use at Derby (4547/8/9/51). What happened...
Worth noting that the services on 2a, 4 and 38 will serve the spot on outbound journeys, it's just inbound that they will not cover that part of the route. It does make sense, as it gets very busy around there and causes delays. Also inbound there is a stop on Bradshaw way next to the shopping...
There were a few weeks when red solos would work for notts and derby one day and Trent the next, doesn't seem to happen now though.
They seem to simply not have enough spare buses, at Derby at least, which is why they miss out several services on a daily basis. It appears to be because on...
Isn't that what has happened with the 92?
It's far from ideal, obviously all registered services should be operated.
My point is that cancellations are now very common place across the bus industry, and I think they are more understandable when made by a bus company that is winding down it's...
Ideally you wouldn't fail to run any services, but better to not run 1 service, than miss random trips on all services over the course of the last few weeks. The 92 will not be replaced, probably because so few use it, probably the two reasons it was chosen to be dropped first. As you say it...
741 sounds almost Scania like, definitely different to the others. I think it had quite extensive work done, possibly using some Scania spares?
Any confirmation on which buses have now left Kinchbus with the introduction of the Yutongs. Guessing will be 11 buses in 11 out?
Surprised mango 498...
