Same here Lenny. I attended stage 1 on 30/08 and have just had the email to say I have passed but they cannot provide a stage 2 date yet.
Perhaps they are putting more people than first anticipated through to stage 2 if they have run out of dates to assign.
I applied for South Yorkshire and made it to the first assessment, then unfortunatly had to withdraw. So make that 7 posts between 27. Good luck to those of you left.
Pass rates are not published. The assessor at a recent stage 1 day said that each test is marked independently as a pass is needed on all tests to progress.
Thank you both.
It is a tough one. I am really drawn to one of the recent fix term roles and know that sometimes you just have to take risks for a chance to get what you want. That said, trying to convince your head that leaving behind a perfectly good, well paying perminent job with good...
I've now read this entire thread in full. Some great information in here, so thanks to all that have contributed.
With regards to fixed term contracts for external applicants, I've seen it noted that you cannot apply to move to another signalling role until the fixed term is up. Does anyone...
Stupid question time: I've arrived at the hotel and not brought any stationary. Am I going to look like an idiot asking for pencils tomorrow, only I don't fancy the trip back out if I can help it.
Is it the case that you can search for the symbols, stop and count tones whenever played and then carry on with the symbols or are the tones continuous all the way through the test?
I've had exactly the same reply this morning, must choose only 1 application to proceed with. DB have said they test to the normal standard and Freightliner to an enhanced standard.
Very useful information. Thank you for highlighting this.
Makes you wonder why they would go the the effort and cost of testing external applicatants when there is such a slim chance of one being selected, even if they are the most suited individual for the role.
My email invite to the online test states:
"If you believe you may have already successfully completed this test within the last 6 months, please call 01793 425 669"
Might be worth giving them a call to check, although I dont know if they work weekends and we only get 48 hours to complete them.
I never got the phone call that some had so thought I had lost out on this one but have just received an invitation to attend an assessment for stage 1 on 23/08. Really hoping to attend but getting leave from work with only a weeks notice might be just as difficult as the tests themselves.
I...
I did both tests last Thursday, 1 much more confidently than the other unfortunately. Still excited to find out the result though. Hope yours has gone well.
