I suppose this proves the point that investing in quality uniform, rather than picking the cheapest, can make all the difference in terms of lifespan. It also can be put down to how drivers look after it.

Some bus stations in the West Midlands play classical music on the PA system to discourage loitering and anti social behaviour. It can make for a nice soundtrack to accompany the comings and goings of buses!

Some companies require you to give the uniform back when you leave. Arriva certainly has a policy where you shouldn’t drive wearing a hi viz.

Just a suggestion here, but would it be better if the thread was split separately into West, South West & South Wales? I think it would be easier to navigate and find info on the separate divisions. Maybe the mods can advise?

I don’t often see drivers wearing them, instead wearing a pair of their own choice, but it does show that the operator has standards in terms of the type of footwear drivers should be wearing.

Although this may seem very generalised, but I often find that those who aren’t in uniform have poorer driving skills than those who are.
