Hi all,
Was just wondering if anyone can explain exactly how line of site work on metrolink. It seems easy enough in the city when the trams are only moving say 15mph as when they see a tram infront they can come to a complete stop. But what about on lines where it is faster such as the line...
Hi all,
So i was wondering if anyone can tell me what routes TPE sign out of Man pic. They must have quite a big route card considering every TPE service passes Pic some point on it’s route. I am interested to know how far they sign E.G do they sign north of York and also do they sign all the...
Hi everyone,
So am just curious to know what the buttons are used for on the left side of the metrolink cab, more specifically the ones on the sort of box shaped device on the left of the drive. From just watching what the driver does i have come to the conclusion that they press one of the...
Can anyone provide me with any information of what type of buses run the 31/32, 10/10A and the 33/34 buses in Scunthorpe. Making a trip over there soon and just wondering what buses I may see. I have had a look in YouTube to see what buses run the routes and it seems to be a mixture. Just...
Does the 8 mins plus 5 mins cab prep apply after having a PNB? is the 13 mins added into the PNB or do you PNB finish 13 mins before the departure of your train?
Thanks that really helped! So at Picc it would be something like 2 or 3 New Mills or maybe Hadfield followed by either a Sheffield, Chester or maybe a Stoke? (If that is classed as a longer trip) With an ECS either at the start or the end?
Hi,
Was just wondering if anyone would be able to provide me with some example driver or guard shifts for Northern Rail out of either Pic or Vic. I am just interested to know if the shift follow any particular structure for example routes that seem to come up lots in shifts or after working...
The Stopper seems to lose 1 min between Dore and Grindleford, then stations in between Grindleford and Edale always show the train as having "No report" at the stations, so it is hard to see where the time is lost in between Grindleford and Edale but it nearly always loses 2/3 mins there.
Is there a reason why the Hope Valley stoppers always seem to be between 2 and about 6 mins late by the time the service reach Reddish North? (Travailing from Sheffield to Manchester)
I know sometimes the service is held at Sheffield (or just outside Sheffield) to let the TPE express come...
Right this has been bugging me for a while because i can't get my head round how it properly works!
So as far as i am aware the work in each shift for a virgin train driver is set out in a sort of triangle E.G Manchester - Euston - New street and then travel as a passenger back to Manchester...
Does anyone know why there was a 142 connected to the back of the 150 working the 16:49 to Buxton today? Units are ex Chester, so that would explain why there is a 142 on the back but 142 are not cleared to Buxton.Anyone know what is heppering hear?!?!
Back last year a 142 operated on the the xx:38 Alderly Edge stoppers for about half a year but it has now be changed back to a 323.
All but two of the service on the pic-rose hill/new mills central are 142 and about 3 of them run as two units.
It you go up to the north east you will see...
