I was able to get the drone up today and took some photos. Very much into the finishing touches stage now. Watering the grass on the roof!
Yup - these were visible!
It looks like the emergency egress route is separate from the bridge, which does indeed only span the down lines. At the moment...
Here are some photos from this morning. The busway path closes in a couple of days so these are likely the last for a while.
Lots of work to the landscaping and streetscape now, plus looks like the lawn is being laid on the roof today.
There have been a few questions in the thread about new signal placement, numbers, and speed limits. I was able to take some photos today of the section between the junction and Addenbrookes road - hopefully of interest to someone!
I have left the location metadata on the photos so hopefully...
I had a look today and took a few photos. Trains were running through p2 and p3 while I was there. The new ‘replacement’ park is looking good.

Edit: more photos of track around Cambridge South.
Here are some photos ahead of the Christmas possession. The landscaping and forecourts have been making progress since my last updates. Most striking is the rate of progress on the new Astra Zeneca building adjacent to the station.

Not sure about the main roof, but there is a copious amount of soil in place on some of the smaller sections of canopy. No sign of any growth yet.
The Corten steel panelling around the doors is an interesting choice.
I’ve been going past the site most days. There’s lots of small finishing...
Here is a photo taken from the park yesterday showing the southern of the two new approach paths.
Here are drone photos from Friday showing the most recent construction updates. The station exterior fit out continues with visible progress on the barriers and CCTV/Public address masts. The...
Photos from earlier in the week. Most of the forecourt hoardings have been removed giving a much better view. In addition to the campus side bike parking it is also possible to see construction of the new retaining wall for the busway bridge embankment.
There is also another large Astra Zeneca...
Here are some photos from today. It is getting much harder to see changes. It looks like bike parking has been going in as well as rear fences for the platforms.

Breathless reporting...
Here are a few photos from today. Most of the visible work is now landscaping and the forecourts. Lamp posts and cameras have been installed and some of the trees have been planted. The storage compound in the park is now gone and the area sown with what I guess is grass. The two access paths...
I expect the scheduling also comes into it - I originally planned to go to the one in Shelford as it was local and early but couldn’t make it so ended up going to the one in Cherry Hinton.
The report on the 2024 non-statuatory consultation was published on Friday: https://eastwestrail.co.uk/news/latest-stories/publication-of-of-2024-non-statutory-consultation-update-report
I think opportunity at the station itself is limited. Eyeballing the forecourt it doesn’t look like you would be able to turn around a bus in there.
However there is a set of large bus stops on the green between the Astra Zeneca headquarters and Papworth Hospital. If RRBs could route through...
Thank you all for the replies.
I just got my return train and had a wander along the platform. Several of the spring/spike type clips are missing and lying broken in the ballast and some newer painted/coated looking Pandrols so yes I guess they are being replaced with the Pandrols as needed...
