I know its been discussed, but.....
The Class 43's are 40 years old, and are still running a more intensive schedule than the class 373's, but the class 373's are being scrapped now?

This image shows the outside... an IR4 and an IC3
This image shows the actaul gangway.... Just imagine how innovative it would have been if the UK had universal couplings to allow something like this....

In my opinion, Denmark's trains are pretty inovative (except the IC4... That is a not good train) I...
Could the cab ends be converted to a sort of DVT, considering their MK3 heritage...
A DVT with seats inside, does make some sort of sense, for open access operators??
In a great world, HST's should replace 220's and 221's on long services such as PNZ to ABD.
I still think people now are like 'More better trains' ... You will miss these spacious trains when they are gone ;-)
I can't see the HST's going literally over night!
I promise that there will be issues, like with most new trains, that will keep SOME HST sets in service past that time table change.
Also I can't see all the wires being in place by that timetable change... It does not look as if it will...
We did this, when they did it on the GW, and it is like one of those things, you do once to show your kids what it is like, but never do it again because of how inconvinient it is.
Also stock only fitted 3 or so cars, and was never viable.
