Why is there to be a temporary depot ? I know there is a search for a permanent new depot that can be electrfied but why is it necessary to move out of the existing depot before then ?
Yes ADL and Wright still top in terms of volume but they both have reduced market share....to Yutong.

Had a look through the new registration data for 2025 on Bus Lists On the Web (BLOTW). Single and double deck registrations (ie excluding coaches and minibuses) seem to be well up in 2025. However, a note of caution is that I imagine may of the electrics in particular may get reregistered if...
The range on the electrics will be much lower on very cold days like today so I’m guessing that’s the reason. Only 7 out of Oldham’s 85 electrics didn’t make it out at all today (according to bustimes) which is probably fairly average. So my guess is that electrics were swopped out at some stage...
Slightly off topic, but just thinking about potential development of cross (GM) boundary services - particularly with the proposed new town development in Adlington, Cheshire.
The developer is talking about improvements to public transport in the area...so logically this would include services...
My own experience of the 78 is that you have to concentrate and be aware of roadside vegetation when sat upstairs. It’s not to hard to imagine someone getting injured by say hanging their arm over the side.
At the moment there is an hourly stopping service between Stoke and Manchester.
Does anyone know what the operational barriers are to operating this as a more frequent service (putting aside the economics / demand for a moment). There are 4 express services per hour in each direction (2 x...
I only just noticed that Metroline have an extra BZL decker - VMD671. Looks like it’s been in service for a few weeks now. Does this come out of those that were going to be operated by Stagecoach in Middleton ? Are there any more due ?
Are there any other routes / diagrams locally where a driver may have a decker out before switching to a single decker for a route under a low bridge ?
Tracking on bustimes suggests that it has turned right onto Barton Lane from Barton Road instead of carrying straight on. Bridge is 11’6’’. Hope everyone is OK.
The 4 (?) Solo's from Arriva Yorkshire seem to be at Bangor now (0726 - 0729) - I've forgotten the reason for the '0' in the fleetnumber ?
There's also a badly damaged double decker at the back of the depot - anyone know what happened here ?
