EU national applying for trainee Driver position

In short the answer is yes, there are EU nationals working as train drivers in the UK having been trained here - I part trained two of them, one from Poland, the other from Spain. As long as you are able to pass all the obstacles put in your way the same as everyone else then you are no less...

Train fails to stop at Pilning

Lots of things happen in life that shouldnt or are unexpected, particularly where human beings are concerned. Are you trying to insinuate that you are the one 'perfect' human being walking the planet?

    Nationalisation?

I shouldnt worry about Nationalisation - you nor I will ever live to see it, whichever bunch of scoundrels are running the country. I spoke to John Prescott back in 1996 one morning and asked him 'if Liebour win the next election will you be renationalising?' He replied 'yes, definately'. Well...

Storm Bronagh - Thursday 20/09 to Friday 21/09

Back in the day, most of us used to just look out of the window. We knew it was a storm when things started blowing over. Pathetic, creeping, Americanism.

    New build locos

Absolute fact. DP2s power unit went into the pool of units and was used in numerous 50s as was standard with any type of loco which required a power unit, either at overhaul or out of course. Its just coincidence it ended its days in 50023, and this is well known. As an engine it was by that...

    New build locos

No. It ended up in the shell of 50023 which was subject to an abortive preservation attempt which failed. The stripped power unit went to Booths along with the shell of the 50.

    New build locos

No theyre not. The Baby Deltic for instance will not be working on anything other than private/preserved railways.

Freight Derailment at Whitacre Junction Coleshill and Nuneaton (12/09)

Freight Derailment at Whitacre Junction Coleshill and Nuneaton (12/09)

No 'perhaps' about it - im telling you as someone who has been to Hams Hall nearly 5 times a week, every week all summer that those points have been acting up for months. At 15mph, any wagons derailing in advance of those on the recption roads could easily cause lock buffering and subsequent...

    db cargo freight driver

Dont hold your breath, the railway is full of rumours like that - usually started in the messroom and overheard by conclusion jumpers.
