The tests on the day are:
SCAAT Symbols (there’s a tool for this in the driver assessment thread - Windows only and you can print the sheets to practice also)
Reading a short railway based paragraph and answering questions on this, this is timed.

Blue Arrow recruitment agency now doing Conductor recruitment on behalf of ScotRail. ScotRail have just started their recruitment process for Drivers internally so they’ll be very busy and It’ll slow to a crawl, more so than usual.

Yes, and medical.
Interviews could be as early as next week. Was at Atrium today for Conductor assessments and they recommended getting started on intereview prep straight away.
Are you both “off the street” and applying externally?
Hi all,
Have my assessments for Conductor/Guard next week and looking for an online resource for practicing the SCAAT section. Does anyone either have a package I can download and print with multiple papers, or know the best place to source them?
Cheers
Does anyone have any tools for preparing for the SCAAT assessments? Have mines on Tuesday, don’t mind paying for the online packages provided I can print these and do them on paper.
Does anyone have anything free?
I assume you’re Scotrail based on your location? Do you have a date for your interview? Also sat my level 1 assessments on Wednesday just passed and found out yesterday that I made the cut. We might even have been in on the same day if you’ve sat them recently.

Does anyone have a rough idea as to what might be seen as an acceptable level of omissions (read: mistakes) on the Group Bourdon test? I’ve been practising for a few days now and doing this on paper, 2 minutes per block and making anywhere between 2-5 mistakes average overall (one night I was...
Slight thread hijack but does anyone have any tips on how to prepare for the other psychometric tests (I have sheets and sheets of dots to practice these) to try and prepare for the on the day tests?
Looks like mines is on its last legs and need a replacement.
Can anyone recommend a strong one? Had mines nearly a year now and it’s done reasonably well but noticing cash intake is on the increase so need something stronger.
They mentioned yesterday that they’re dealing with internals first. May take a while, they’re notoriously slow with the recruitment process normally, add in other things like staff absence, working from home etc.
Good luck.
It is what it is, I don’t think I’ll apply again to be honest. Yesterday I gave it a lot of effort and still couldn’t pass, maybe just beyond my abilities.
If you’re awaiting an assessment yourself then you’ll do your SCAAT first, a customer service scenario test (rating outcomes on a scale of...
