Why would anyone recruit staff and train them up to issue unenforceable penalties? The difference in the application and enforcement of the law is absolutely the issue.

The Act applying in Scotland and penalty fares being enforceable in Scotland aren’t one and the same thing. Private prosecutions are both extremely rare and unusual.

I’ve not been on it since they extended the route but previously the 902 driver at the airport spent a good 5-10 minutes explaining to tourists if they waited for the AIR (due 10 mins after a 902 departure) it gets to Glasgow quicker.

Just to check what Wolfie asked it was short faring - having a ticket that didn't cover the whole journey (short faring) as opposed to having two tickets one at the start and one at the end to open barriers/pass gatelines (doughnutting - because there's a gap in the middle)?

If they don’t know you have a railcard could they be looking at 15 journeys made in September and October?

Can I just check everyone knows the ticket office is at the top of the stairs on the same side as platform 1 (to Helensburgh, Balloch, Milngavie etc.) and not platform 2 (to Edinburgh, Airdrie, Springburn). The platform 2 side has the shutters down permanently and used to be a sandwich shop...

Not every ticket is available on a TVM either. The SPT roundabout ticket can only be bought on board or at a staffed station.

There’s almost zero chance of that given the number of unstaffed stations and dodgy ticket machines.
