Coatbridge Junction - Langloan Junction on I believe the first scheduled passenger service for some years which had no fewer than 3 different 92's hauling the train from London to Glasow
Mossend North Junction - Mossend East Junction
My second attempt at this and this time with...
Good work on getting the Flyover PSUL. It's an interesting little stretch of track. Did you manage to do it at the first attempt? I only managed it on my fourth attempt.
On previous strike days like this Transport for Wales have run a virtually normal service. The only exception to this is trains to Birmingham International terminate at Wolverhampton. I fully expect the same to happen on these strike days assuming Network Rail are not striking.
Sounds a good trip up to Newcastle. Went to university there so got plenty all the diversionary routes done then mainly by fluke! Shame the train back was so busy. I've not seen many trains that busy since Covid.
Transpennine sounded good for you. I've got a couple of trips out with them soon...
Finally getting round to commenting on your last two trip reports. Wrexham Platform 3 sounds very difficult to get these days. I'm fairly sure I got it Northbound on the first train on a weekday about 15 years ago. I've also got it Southbound with a Wrexham and Shropshire service. As a recall...
I did an ambitious Chester - Doncaster - London St Pancras - Camden Road - London Euston - Chester trip last Sunday. I deliberately set off a little early. There was one cancelled train and one slightly late train on the whole trip. I got back on time. I think if you plan to be slightly delayed...

South Hampstead DC Tunnel - Camden Road
Camden Road - South Hampstead DC Tunnel
Thanks to the punctuality of Transport for Wales(twice) Northern (twice), East Midlands Trains, Hull Trains, London Overground...
Glad the trains all ran for you. Very good of Hull Trains to still run a through service to London. I caught the 15.01 Doncaster - Hull. Passing Toton we went very slow and I got the numbers of 13 of those Class 60's. There were more. When I got to London I did the South Hampstead - Camden Town...
Thank you for the responses. I visited Plockton as a child and have fond memories. Staying at Plockton sounds a good idea and my daughter would love going out on a boat looking for seals and dolphins. I'm beginning to think a longer stay may be more suitable with all the ideas! Also some things...
I have got one long line left in Great Britain to travel on. This is the line to Kyle. I'm planning on making it a short break. I live in the North West of England and am planning to take my 6 year old daughter with me.
The plan I have is day 1 travel to London for day out there. Catch sleeper...
I thought that at first. However every date I've tried from late Decenber to mid April shows no tickets from Crewe to Inverness. This is despite tickets showing from London to Inverness. The person on Web chat said Crewe was being reviewed as a station stop hence they had withdrawn all tickets...
I've just been looking into going on the sleeper at either half term or Easter into catching the train from Crewe to Inverness. There are no services showing. On a chat on the Caledonian Sleeper website I've been told that the stop at Crewe is currently being reviewed hence no services showing.

Doncaster Flyover East Junction to Doncaster Loversall Carr Junction
This was my fourth attempt at this particular section of track so very pleased to finally do it.
Still enjoying your trip reports All Platforms. I remember doing the Barton on Humber line many years ago in one direction only after catching a bus from Hull.
The Werrington Dive under is apparently fairly reliable with the timetabled East Midlands Trains although I've yet to try them yet...
Going back a bit.
