I saw a few of the youtube videos and don't know how anyone can get THAT excited. It's not as if the ghost of Dr Beeching were flying past on a flaming Pacer as the start of the trainpocalypse.
To stand right on the edge of the platform wearing red as I saw in one of the videos is just...
The 416s look nice, as did the 421s which I always wanted to ride. They went past my primary school but whenever I got a train it always managed to be a 455. May have to go to Lymington at one point.
33056 why do you compare a 313 to a fridge?
but lacking those totally badass rubber door buttons they used to have and they make me feel sad and a bit paranoid when I get on one (455)
Whenever I get a travelcard I try to travel on a few 313s up to Willesden Junction
Am I the only person who likes these and will be very sad to see them go from the NLL/WLL/Watford DC next year or so? They are so cosy inside and inviting. Not a huge fan of the FCC 313s though, too many coupled together, it doesn't feel right.

Yeah I'd have thought they'd have uesd 802.11 a/b but you learn something new every day. Surprised people aren't having a field day stealing card and PIN numbers over bluetooth
I think there were more than 3 carriages, and seemed an odd livery to have them painted in, seemed to predate them? Definitely top'n'tailed though and the locos were EWS Maroon and cream.
Did 86 miles today around London on a travelcard including catching the XC Voyager from Kensington Olympia to East Croydon today and covering bits of the Thameslink route I hadn't before. At about 15:27 I left Marylebone on a 165 and saw a train made up of coaches (I think mark 3) in an...
Yes there is more leg room which is pretty great but that interior just feels so incredibly claustrophobic and generic and should H&S or stinginess be blamed for them being so hard? The arm rests are terrible too! *rant*
I hope this is not FGW style HST refurbishment with seats barely softer than a 450's, woefully inadequate for 3 hour + journies, crushed in together with far few tables.
Haven't seen a NXEC fully painted, only with the white stripe but have to say even that ruins it for me. IMO GNER's livery was one of the best and made their stock used to look quite like some form of stealth jet flying past.
