Yeah but as the bus stops and destinations are shown on screens as well that leaves just blind people not from the area not entirely sure where they are which must be a tiny minority. I'd say 95% of people on London buses know where they are going or use the bus regularly, not to mention that...
Not entirely on topic but has anyone else been driven well past madness by the auto announcements on London buses at EVERY SINGLE BUS STOP and then telling you the destination afterward. On a half hour trip it gets very annoying and there is some terrible pronounciation, "Glasster Road" instead...

It seems the usual debate is London vs the rest of the country and much as I live there, it's great to see some investment elsewhere as it's clearly woefully inadequate. New Street is an absolute dive and it's great to see something being done about it, as the hub of the Crosscountry network...
