There was a points failure at Exeter, this resulted in an additional call at Dawlish Warren on the first passenger train this morning. This failure prevented all services departing Exeter towards Newton Abbot, and was resolved around 10am to allow the two Plymouth trains to depart.

The curve between Farington and Lostock in both directions isnt a standard speed differential, the lower speed (10mph) applies to passenger trains with the higher speed for everything else (25mph).
