810006, 010/011/012/013 have all entered service alternating across 3 diagrams, found on post #96 in the thread linked aboveso how many 810s in total are actually now in service (assuming all are in working order and available for service)?

I need to make a london to leicester trip soon and i want to try and catch one if possible.
I wonder which, if any, of these units have a "clean record" so far, to the extent that they have completed every diagram they have been allocated to, i.e. ignoring any faults which did not lead to set swaps or cancellations. I think 810006 has failed more than once so far.810006, 010/011/012/013 have all entered service alternating across 3 diagrams, found on post #96 in the thread linked above
Not checked this thread in a while but good to hear 10-car electric testing has finally commenced. Not sure if the progress of it, but I know GBRf are still undergoing 10-car testing out of Old Dalby with 810003 + 004 and have been for a bit, with having done a mix of diesel and electric runs up and down the MML and ECML.
EMR has to hand the last H back to its owners to save money. It's currently stored near Ely, I think.I didn't know that Market Harborough had been renamed.. see attached pic
If they've got a severe digital letter shortage, they could just call it "Harbs" like I do.I didn't know that Market Harborough had been renamed.. see attached pic
The PIS was playing up advertising stops at Bedford and Wellingborough too.If they've got a severe digital letter shortage, they could just call it "Harbs" like I do.![]()
I believe that service had special stop orders that were then removed, which would be why they ended up on the PISThe PIS was playing up advertising stops at Bedford and Wellingborough too.
810011 also seems to be running only only three engines unless they have found a way to create an engine that runs silently.
Yes my only trip on a 810 was accompanied by the deafening sound of the air con. like having a vac. cleaner above your head.810011 - From Leicester start on diesel with clear signals 0-100mph in close to 6.5 minutes. That's the best that three engines working out of four gives you. No quicker than a 2+8 HST to 60mph (110 seconds) The deafening sound of the air con accompanied by regular whoosh and bang sounds did their best to drown out the fact that the engine underneath was absolutely dead! They didn't manage to restart it from Nottingham either!
Actually the performance suggests 2 engines were out!!810011 - From Leicester start on diesel with clear signals 0-100mph in close to 6.5 minutes. Yes, all EMU stuff out of Old Dalby is 810003/004 (or both), whether thats operating under GBRf (The usual operator) or ROG (which has happened a few times in the past). At the moment they seem to only be operating up and down the MML and ECML, however in the past it has been known for them to run allo ver the place, including runs as far as crewe from time to time. Not checked this thread in a while but good to hear 10-car electric testing has finally commenced.
Were these two paths from yesterday among them? (And are they currently limited to the EMU 100 differential as pathing suggests?)

Issues with the cab door. The 18:35 (10 car) Nottingham service was split at Leicester to allow the 18:32 to complete its journeyI was waiting for what RTT says was 810013 on 18:32 St Pancras to Sheffield. A set swap to a 222 occured at Leicester, not sure what the reason for this was.
I caught 810013 at Derby on 1F42 1332 St Pancras International to Chesterfield. It was supposed to be going to Sheffield but was terminated due to delays caused by trespassers near East Midlands Parkway, not by any train fault.I was waiting for what RTT says was 810013 on 18:32 St Pancras to Sheffield. I wondered where the 222 came from to make that swap at Leicester but that makes sense, it was very overcrowded on board (think there was some kind of football game on) when it turned up at Loughborough but I'm grateful to EMR for working out a way to continue the service. I probably wouldn't have made it where I was trying to get to otherwise.Issues with the cab door. 810 011 was down to two engines on Friday, but seemed to have been fixed during its layover at Sheffield in the afternoon/ evening.Looks like 810011 has been pulled from 1B15 as there’s a 5Z15 back to Etches, not sure why. 1B15 will not be cancelled though as 1B19 on p6 is a 10 car 222, so that will separate to form 2 5-car services
I do know 810011 was out for quite a long time for I think an engine fault, hopefully that hasn’t cropped back up810 011 was down to two engines on Friday, but seemed to have been fixed during its layover at Sheffield in the afternoon/ evening.
810011 berthed in London last night with no working toilets. Its first working today was the same, with toilet stops during the journey.Looks like 810011 has been pulled from 1B15 as there’s a 5Z15 back to Etches, not sure why. 1B15 will not be cancelled though as 1B19 on p6 is a 10 car 222, so that will separate to form 2 5-car services
First seen outside at Newton Aycliffe on 8th August 2025, last seen outside on Monday 26th Jan 2026 been placed outside for an hour then shunted back inside the test facility.Just a thought as it's been a bit since there has been mainline action out of Newton Aycliffe, how is 810014 getting along with testing (I understand it hasn't yet hit the mainline) and when can EMR expect delivery, as i think i recall hearing that Newton Aycliffe want to send out 2 units per month, yet there have been none in January.
are we saying that the train had extended station stops to allow people to use the station toilets?810011 berthed in London last night with no working toilets. Its first working today was the same, with toilet stops during the journey.
It is a regular occurrence and was even in BR days.are we saying that the train had extended station stops to allow people to use the station toilets?
Good job it is. But what happens if you need an extended stay in the station loos? your train zooms off without you?It is a regular occurrence and was even in BR days.
The train crew probably say 'You've got 5 mins, be quick' , so then its not their fault if a passenger is lateGood job it is. But what happens if you need an extended stay in the station loos? your train zooms off without you?
