Hi Folks,

Hello again...
I'm about to upload...
Hi folks,
I hope you are all well :)
I had a wander down to the Watercress Line during half term. Can Pac running and a DMU and a few other things in the yard. I took some slightly more abstract shots for interest value more than anything.
Feel free to pass on your thoughts, comments...
Hi folks,
I've uploaded some of the 200 plus shots I took today at the RH&DR including many of No.8 Hurricane which is now back in traffic following the tragic accident of 2005.
Any thoughts, comments, points of technique, etc, etc as always are most welcome :)
There will be more shots added...
No.6 Samson is having a little paint touch up first and then I believe Goddess is going in. The fleet should be looking fantastic over the course of the summer. All credit to Crowhurst Engineering for the incredible quality of the work that they do on the Romney locos :)
It's going to be a...
Fantastic photos there Craig :)
Nice to see No.8 out and about again :)
I'm training in Hythe signal box next Thursday so will hopefully catch her then, but had a peek at her in the shed at NR the other week and she is looking fabulous. All we need now is Goddess to be overhauled and the...
Hi folks,
Here are my shots from the Oozlum Bird 2 railtour. I'm sure I must've seen most of you (we were in coach G). Thoughts and comments always welcome.
Hi folks,
I've uploaded a few more this morning :-P
I will get round to adding various peoples galleries into the links as well sometime today hopefully (I've been meaning to do it for a while but my day job seems to keep getting in the way). :x
Awesome :)
I will be hanging out of the window with my 40D stuck to my face and grinning like a complete tool :)
Remember folks, the new season starts at the RH&DR and hopefully very shortly we will be seeing the return of No.8 Hurricane.
Hi Gizmogle,
I stumbled across that the other day.... and all I can say is.... thank you to everybody who nominated and voted!! :) You are all amazingly kind and I am extremely appreciative. Can't remember the last time I won something so it has come as a brilliant surprise!! Thank you...
Hi Richard,
I figured that they wouldn't be to everybody's taste :) Just added them because I felt they add a weird dynamic feel to some of the shots... and 'cause I enjoyed taking them :)
According to Digital Camera magazine deliberately wonky shots are very in apparently.... :)
But thank...
Hi folks,
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all :)
I've uploaded a lot of shots from around London today including Euston, Kings X and some more from Stratford. I've used some more unusual camera angles in this gallery to try and keep things fresh.
Comments, thoughts, points of technique, etc, etc
Hiya folks and thank you for your lovely comments :-P
Hi Giz, no I hadn't and I can't believe somebody nominated me... whoever it was.. you are very kind :-P
I think I've probably said it before... I take photos because I love taking pictures and pushing myself to improve every time I pic...

Hi folks,
I've uploaded a few shots from the early morning preparations for the Santa Specials at the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway. It was a pretty grey morning and didn't get chance to shoot later on in the day as it was a case of all hands to the pumps :-P
As always.... Comments...
Hi folks,
Thank you ever so much for your kind words... Enormously appreciated and really very kind of you :)
It's because of the brilliant photos from Paul (amongst others) that I have pushed myself to be out and about a bit more and to work harder to try and improve every time I pick up...
Thanks folks....
Getting the train sharp is the really hard part... As Gizmogle said you have to move the camera around with the train...
The best way I've found to do it is..
use autofocus to pre-focus that camera onto the spot where the train will be when it passes
switch over to...
Hi Jord, and thank you :)
Yup, it really is a real picture.
Shot at f4 and 1/13 sec with the shutter drive set to high speed and I just panned with the train and fired a load of shots off. Never expected it to come out that sharp to be honest... I have loads of dismal attempts from...
Hi folks,
I know this has been done to death but I thought I would add my recent photos of the engineering marvel that is St.Pancras.
As with everything I post... thoughts, comments and points of techniques are most welcome.
Hi everybody, thanks for your kind comments. Hugely appreciated :D
Hi Kestrel and thanks for your interest.
There were two halves to getting the shot to look like this... This particular shot was taken using a 100-400mm L Series f4-f5.6 lens at f5 and focussed on the train with the shallow...
