You will get 4 questions first which are not really part of the scoring system.
1 what do u know about the company.
2 tell me what appeals to u about this job.
3 what challenges do u think a driver will face
4 give an example of when u have done unsociable hours/ shift work.
Then u have...
I had a DMI with southern, I wrote all the questions down when I got out of the interview, I know they may be different as it's a diff Toc but if u want them pm me and will send them. Will give u some sort of idea.
I don't think it does count as a strike. I passed all the assessments 3 years ago, failed the DMI 6 months later. I have just passed DMI last week now have my MMI next week.
I had an interview with gtr last week, they ask you what you know about the company. Visions and values u should learn but apart from that it doesn't actually form part of the scoring system.
The one question I struggled with when I did my MMI for a Shunters job was about working alone, he kept asking how I felt, for the life of me I could not think what he wanted me to say, I passed it but cannot remember what I said. I have a drivers MMI coming up soon so if anyone has any advice...
Like others have said, knowone knows what the pass mark is but if you can get around 10 lines complete with 0 mistakes u will be fine. I practiced a lot and the more you practice the easier it is to recognise the patterns and that makes it easier. Personally I found the dots one of the easiest...
Don't get any wrong is the best answer, take your time and don't rush. If you race through you will make mistakes and will be out the door before u start.
anyone have a copy of the southern drivers job discription? Have an interview tomorrow and wanted a quick look at it. Thought I had one somewhere but can't find it.
Got an interview this week, absolutely dreading it. Hate interviews. Failed last interview for some reason. Hopefully get through this time. Just need to think of better answers to questions
Q4 Which routes will they be run on?
From 12 December 2010, Class 313s will be used to operate some services on the following routes:
Brighton Seaford
Brighton Hove
Brighton Lewes
Brighton West Worthing
Brighton Littlehampton
Brighton Portsmouth

Hi, I have a Safety critical medical next week for a Shunters position and wondered if these are the same as a drivers medical, the resin I have asked is because 2 months ago I would have passed the drivers weight limit but I have put on a bit of weight since I have been injured so kept me away...
Agree, now I know what they will ask I can work on the answers I think they want. But it's hard to gauge what exactly they want to know. I have written down all questions they asked so hopefully it will help me next time.
I have also heard that southeastern will need many drivers soon so I am...
That's what I thought, they cannot say no because I never mentioned it, to be fair they never even asked a question about safety. Also they never really asked probing questions on my answers either. Until I get feedback I won't really know what happened. Would be nice to know but so far had no...
Tbh I thought interview went well but afterwards I realissed I did not use he word safety enough, asked what the companies visions are the only one I forgot to say was bloody safety, I mean the whole bloody job is about safety. I could kick myself. Just waiting to hear the feedback now to see...
Why is it when you have the interview for the drivers job do you come out thinking ' why did I not say this and that' had mine last week and now dreading the inevitable ' unfortunately you were unsuccessful' email
I have my interview soon, I wish I knew what the were going to ask me so I could 'cheat'. I hate interviews and have only had 2 proper interviews in my life. Most jobs I have had were just ' start Monday' interviews. Been working on the railway already for nearly half my life and still dreading...
