When first reported several or more months ago it was stated that particular bridge may not be replaced as there is not a lot of room either side,and the angle of attack was also already steep which would be made worse by replacing with a higher bridge.
At the sites I've seen there are what looks like little cameras pointed at them I thought it was perhaps laser hence why i thought being buried in the undergrowth wouldn't be conducive to accurate monitoring. They did cut back a few sites a few weeks ago.
Does seem to be bits and pieces,from what I can or can't see there are still gaps in the pilings though there still looks like there's plenty lying at the compound at Turnhouse.
Stanchion wise there are those at saughton and a handful in the cutting by Turnhouse.
Yeah I know but usually you'd shutdown the buffer end power car,sometimes the running would be swapped if sat for days as has happened on scotrail.
Anyway it doesn't appear to be a power problem that caused it to be removed from service.
