Hi I've searched and searched and can't find. Does anyone know the Weekend first upgrades on XC from Paignton to Tiverton Parkway and from Paignton to Bristol Temple Meads. I'd be on cheap day/off peak tickets. The biggest question is - is it worth it? Many thanks

I can imagine the answer is "no" but I'll ask anyway: If you are on an ALR and the service you are on is delayed or cancelled are you eligible for some kind of refund? I guess you might have to have a reserved seat portion to prove you were on that train.

Moreover, will be a nice break for those passengers going all the way to stretch their legs at Perth. Enough time to wonder in to get a proper breakfast!

If a First Class ticket holder boarded the sleeper and either they chose not to take a berth or there were no spare berths would they still be allowed to sit in the Lounge Car and have free tea etc? I wonder if this has ever occurred?

Is it permissible to go from Temple Meads to Cardiff Central by going to Bristol Parkway and then changing trains there and heading to Cardiff. I know there are direct trains but wondered if this was allowed if there were no direct trains for a while.
