I can imagine the answer is "no" but I'll ask anyway:

If you are on an ALR and the service you are on is delayed or cancelled are you eligible for some kind of refund? I guess you might have to have a reserved seat portion to prove you were on that train.

You are often get Delay Repay - in my experience with Rovers the TOC will divide the validity by the price and work out a daily rate and then apply the Delay Repay percentages to that daily rate.

You are eligible for Delay Repay and the method for working out compensation varies depending on the TOC. You might find my post in response to an enquiry about compensation arrangements for BritRail pass holders useful.

Before you ask, yes this system is open to exploitation to those less than scrupulous.

All Line Rovers are not eligible for NRCoC, Passengers Charter or Delay Repay compensation (source: ATOC). Any compensation given is gratuitous. There is nothing to stop one from requesting compensation. I have never had a compensation request for an ALR rejected.

First time I have heard of that. It is a strange concept implying somehow delays do not cause passengers using leisure products as much inconvenience as passengers holding single/return/season tickets.

I guess it doesn't matter too much at the end of the day if TOCs are paying out in respect of delays while travelling with leisure products.
