I've noticed this on 375s so it seems like it might be common across the Electrostar family. I thought I was going mad - at last someone else has heard this! :evil: No idea what it is though, and indeed it's proved impossible for me to work out where it's coming from.

On 375s it also provides a (pitiful) cold air supply in the summer, once SE get round to turning it on. So I assume it's a vent for the aircon, hot in winter, coldish in summer. Either way, it's a poor place for an armrest.

How about moving the 442s to the coast route to replace the 313s. Only joking, but it'd cause some excitement. :lol:

Without wishing to cause any offence, you are incorrect here. BA did indeed sell a huge number of BA Connect regional routes to FlyBe (although they still maintain a stake of c10% in FlyBe). But they have always flown Manchester to London Heathrow and Gatwick using their mainline BA fleets...

Not sure if it's the same access, but I recall being able to drive up a reasonably steep slope to the platforms and access a free (yes, free!) short stay car park. Really useful when meeting friends off the London train. Walked by recently on a visit to Glasgow and the access is still there...
