I'm now back in CZ following an unscheduled extended trip home. I had a quick mooch aboot the test track yard (from the outside) this evening. The five sleeper coaches are shunted away in a corner of the yard, hemmed-in by a DB double-decker...

Ah well, just passed there again on the way to the airport again, so no mooching aboot Velim test track this week I'm afraid.

Just passed Velim station on the way to the airport. The sleeper coaches are no longer there, an ICE train stands there now, connected to what looks like a flatbed translator truck. Maybe the ICE was moved out to make way for the sleeper. I'll be back in cz on Monday and will take a run out to...

The coaches were still standing in the siding at Velim station today. The security guard there today (a wee wifie in a car) stopped a couple of locals from taking photos and tried to stop me too (without leaving her car), but thanks to the language barrier, I had no idea what she was talking...

Which might explain the two men with the big stick last night. They appeared to be measuring the length of the coupling and how far into the body of the coach it recessed.
