Some photos from Velim today. Unfortunately there was no movement and (of course) the sun was in the wrong place.

I was at Velim yesterday and saw the unit standing in a siding, but not under movement. I couldn't help but notice the black dust (brake dust?) around all of these devices (whatever they are).

And some photos... After a few laps (not sure how many) the test crew went trackside to look at some of the the wheels before setting off again.

When at Velim on Tuesday, I noticed that one side of Tireless was weighted with bags of sand. Why would that be?

I can't comment about the Electrostar noise (never having heard one), but this did strike me as being a noisy unit (from about 20-25 feet away). Just before the heavens opened...

I was back at Velim today, just moments too late to see the set go around the circuit. We saw it running between coaches of some German train and then it got pulled in to a siding before doing any more circuits. So no video (this time), but a few more photos. See also the NR Class 331 thread...
