Campaigning for a railway line: Who to contact?

Thanks for the advice! Got it, any reason for that? I'll be sure to PM you later, working with a smaller agency/company may be more beneficial, thanks!

Campaigning for a railway line: Who to contact?

I have got in touch with all district councils so far, including Northampton Borough Council, South Northants Council etc. I've contacted the local MPs of all these areas too. I beat you to it! It's been published in 3 papers/online news sites including Northampton Chron. Thanks for this! I...

Campaigning for a railway line: Who to contact?

I've recently been campaigning for a new railway line to be reopened in Northamptonshire called the South Northants Link. I've outlined our plans on our website, but I'm just not sure who to approach with these plans now, or who would help me the most. Would it be the Department for Transport...

    Ah, got it.

    HS2 hub in Brackley

I'm not aware of any station in Northamptonshire to provide a direct service to Banbury/Any CML location (excl. Kings Sutton, but we don't really count that.)

    HS2 hub in Brackley

    Yup, just done that.

    HS2 hub in Brackley

Just to let you all know, the link in the original thread has nothing to do with this specific question, it's just to show you what I've done in the past. The question here is, could or should Brackley get an HS2 station/hub?

    HS2 hub in Brackley

Hi, I'm a 14 year old railway campaigner, working on a few projects in the last few months. I've been exploring the idea of a Northamptonshire/East Midlands Hub Two station in Brackley, more exactly, Turweston (a village that would be totally knocked out by High Speed Two) to serve...

Trivia: Nearest station you haven't used?

Probably Wolverton, for someone living in MK it is quite useless.

    Station information app/website help.

I've recently started building a database of train station information on Google sheets, which I plan to convert to an app and website for railway enthusiasts to find out information about railway stations, and trainspotters to get more info on the non-stopping services that pass through without...

When do Grand Central Class 90 hauled test trains run?

I guess not necessarily test, but more like training the drivers.

When do Grand Central Class 90 hauled test trains run?

Sorry I should have clarified I meant test services.

When do Grand Central Class 90 hauled test trains run?

Does anyone know of some sort of agenda of when the Grand Central Class 90 test trains run on the WCML, or how to locate them on RTT? Been looking out for one but no luck as of yet.

    Could Weedon Station reopen?

I just thought I'd comment to give an update on this thread. I'm taking this up further with the county council as I think this could really benefit the community in Weedon/Daventry etc. Let me know if there's anything I should mention in an email/white paper document. Thanks everyone.

Trivia: Which UK station has the most TOCs passing through?

But Hull Trains and Grand Central run through it. I was just wondering which ones pass, not stop. I may have not been too clear.

Trivia: Which UK station has the most TOCs passing through?

Peterborough has open access operators though. That would mean it is at 7.

Trivia: Which UK station has the most TOCs passing through?

Oh got it, I thought they were referring to parent companies of larger organisations e.g FirstGroup.

Trivia: Which UK station has the most TOCs passing through?

Yup, Stockport has AWC, CrossCountry, EMR, Transpennine Express, TfW and Northern.

Trivia: Which UK station has the most TOCs passing through?

Both, ones that go through and stop. Both as well. Different branded, because even though South Western Railway is so bad in my opinion, Avanti West Coast aren't. You could see them on the surface as different companies.
