These new "Buy before you board" signage has been put up at a lot of stations, I saw them today, best one I saw was a huge one attached to the fence at Holytown. A station without any ticket buying facilities
If it was a DOO service could have been out of view of the DOO cameras, if service had a conductor on (majority of service through Wester Hailes are conductor operated) they could have possible thought the child was with somebody else

Glad everything ended up ok without injury, but this incident shows the need to keep an eye on your kids while travelling.

I saw a tweet not long ago claiming that the barriers were not yet connected to whatever system the Smartcard uses. Unfortunately I'm too lazy to look for the tweet as it was a week or two ago and could have been a load of rubbish for all i know
Never been on a service that missed a stop, but been on a Glasgow to Ayr service that additionally stopped at Newton-on-Ayr that wasnt scheduled to. It did confuse some passengers on the train who thought it was Ayr as no announcements were made
I was travelling a few Sundays ago and had the unfortunate luck to be on the same train as the Celtic fans going to Hampden for whatever cup match it was against Rangers.
The amount of sectarian, vulgar language in use on that train was unbeleivable, and this was before the match.

As someone with Autism I find it difficult enough to communicate with someone when I only have their voice to go on, it's even more difficult with just some text on a screen
