    Passing Stations With No Notice

Lanark services have a turn-around time of 8 minutes, which often causes some delay as Lanark services run as ordinary passenger services and get delayed by late-running VTWC/XC at Motherwell and Uddingston and via Shotts services near Bellshill

Caledonian Sleeper bans the use of Galaxy Note 7

ok hypothetical question here. With this statement from Cal Sleeper regarding Note 7's, lets say someone did charge/use their Note 7 and start a fire, could the user be held liable for damage to the carriage/injuries etc.?

RailMiles - Mileage Engine is back!

ive been having issues with RTT using shortcodes for station (ie GLC for Glasgow Central) also saw a tweet to scotrail a few days ago from someone who was getting an error message on the sr app relating to something along the lines "unable to update stale station autofill data" may have...

    Scottish Electrification updates & discussion

Anyone in the industry know if this Scotsman article is accurate? Although I'm an outsider, I doubt that the OHLE was just installed too low? Source: http://www.scotsman.com/news/transport/blunder-sees-cables-installed-too-low-on-glasgow-to-edinburgh-rail-line-1-4220723

    Pendolino interior

Kinda off-topic question, how long will VT (or whoever ends up running the West Coast franchise) run the Pendolino's as the main fleet if you know what I mean? Will they be run on the main WCML routes for the entirety of the 390's life? Or will they be cascaded like others do?

Wheelchair user told to board a train where there wasn't a designated space

Don't know if your actually meant to walk on them, Glasgow Central certainly don't let people walk on them, unless you are assisting the wheelchair on and off

Wheelchair user told to board a train where there wasn't a designated space

156's (ScotRail one's anyway) have the wheelchair space at the toilet, which is at the cab end of the carriage, and the ramp in a cupboard in the middle of the set. On other class's ive travelled on (mainly 318's, 320's and 380's) they are next to the wheelchair space. Only exception to this...

Wheelchair user told to board a train where there wasn't a designated space

I've found that it just depends on the staff member assisting us. Some will tell the owners to move their luggage, some will ask the owners to move their luggage, and some just pull the ramp and leave as soon as all four wheels are on the train

What drives you round the bend when using the train?

Borders Railway passengers are jealous of the Duchess Kite159 and their only 6 coaches zD

Wheelchair user told to board a train where there wasn't a designated space

The wheelchair space(s) is the only place a wheelchair user can be carried safely. Anywhere else you risk either being in the road of other passengers, blocking something or risk of tipping, which is surprisingly easy at times. Again, does the door in this case give access to a wheelchair...

Wheelchair user told to board a train where there wasn't a designated space

1 Wheelchair per wheelchair space. Just depends how many wheelchair spaces a class has. If the wheelchair space(s) is full with wheelchair(s), then its a case of wait for the next train. If its got bikes or luggage in them I would hope they would be moved. The only reason you wouldn't not...

What drives you round the bend when using the train?

Luggage/bikes in wheelchair spaces. Not necessarily the fact that there is luggage or bikes in the wheelchair space, but when a wheelchair user boards the owners of said crap pretend to be deaf/blind/dumb to the world and only move their stuff when asked (normally having to be asked several...

    Passcom Penalty?

Had reasons to press the Call For Aid button on a ScotRail 320, both times ignored by the driver. This is for being over-carried after assistance staff failed to show up to help a wheelchair off. Next time it will be the big red button (well, chain) Edit: To clarify, ScotRail said both times...
