    London Bridge reconstruction works

My peak Cannon Street journey was quite pleasant on Friday. There was even some vacant middle seats all the way, and in the first car. It was on time as well. Looking at boards at Cannon St on the way home, all the Metro's seem to be 8 car in the new timetable. Hopefully it was not just a...

    London Bridge reconstruction works

Had a 12 car into Platform 3 of Charing Cross this morning, Sidcup line. Looking at the Sectional Appendix only Platforms 1-3 at Charing Cross are cleared for 12 car 465 networkers, unlike Cannon St where all Platforms are. So it would be a limitation.

The London Bridge station map is mostly 'Opening soon' for the shops, but does list some of them. http://www.networkrail.co.uk/London-Bridge-station-map.pdf

    London Bridge reconstruction works

I assume the long Cannon St closure is due to the re-control to Three Bridges ROC, apart from the track slew. Will the Blackfriars 'backdoor' still be in place, as there does not seem to be any ECS that way in the new timetable? Also a bit surprised to see the Cannon St sidings still in place...

London Bridge - new timetable during reconstruction works commencing 5th January 2015

The .pdf's are up now http://www.southeasternrailway.co.uk/your-journey/timetables/august-timetable/ The variations during the August works have also been in the online planners for a week or so, apart from Saturday 27th for some reason.

    London to Dartford via Sidcup

I was on the Hither Green one, in the end the passenger was helped off, arm in arm, by two other passengers rather than wait for the ambulance. He did not look well at all. There was also another ill passenger at Sidcup just a bit earlier. You can tell Summer is hear.

London Bridge - new timetable during reconstruction works commencing 5th January 2015

The WTT 2016-08-29 to 2016-12-09 is visible in http://www.opentraintimes.com/ as to how set in stone it is I do not know. It's too early for the variations for the August BH and the blockade to be there yet. Southeasten say May for the next update -...

New building at Woolwich Dockyard - new station building?

Ironically Woolwich Dockyard can not take 12 car. According to Kentrail website Cannon St was closed for 2 months in July 1991 for work to lengthen platforms from 10 to 12. So no doubt the rolling-stock will turn up soon.

New building at Woolwich Dockyard - new station building?

There is also new substation at Crayford, replacing the TP hut which has been demolished. And another one further up the line. It could be just general renewals rather than 12 car related. Although a few more 12 car diagrams would be good, if they had the stock.

    London Bridge reconstruction works

http://www.networkrail.co.uk/news/2016/mar/easter-spotlight-thameslink-london-bridge/ Are they re-modelling the layout around London Bridge P1/2/3 or around New Cross or something?

    Landslip at Barnehurst

Looking at the latest picture : https://twitter.com/Se_Railway/status/687575395223388160 Looks like quite some stabilization work is required on the embankment.

    Landslip at Barnehurst

There are two turn back sidings on the 3 lines, at Sidcup and Plumstead. These have walkways to change ends. The other trailing crossovers (? Charlton,Kidbrooke, Barnehurst, Crayford), given their direction and location before the up platforms look more about extricating trains in a pickle...

Given that replacement of a cross over and Kings Cross LU over Christmas required https://twitter.com/hamandcityline/status/681512532805300225/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Testing is good.

Once the Undercroft is open they probably expect people to wait down there with, no doubt, all the retail outlets.

    Santa Special Calling at.....

From previous posts I believe the realtimetrains one is originated by their systems rather than the feed. That's not to say the TOC's don't have a bit of fun, from the SE twitter https://twitter.com/JosiahSkeats/status/680138603184451588...

Could SE Victoria - Dartford services run in a loop on Bexleyheath & Sidcup lines?

Reminds me of the SRA plans back in 2005 to move the Dartford - Victoria service to go via Sidcup & Lewisham, with the Sidcup line Charing Cross & Cannon Street services missing Lewisham. Made operational sense with the conflicts at Lewisham, but the existing use Bexleyheath line passengers...

    London Bridge reconstruction works

Thanks Bald Rick and carriageline. Total loss of signalling on it early this morning I see, luckily I was working at home today. No gain without pain as they say.
