I recently passed my Conductor Assessment Centre (and interview) with Scotrail and I’m currently in a Talent Pool as all the jobs at the time went internally. I’m at work just now so don’t have much time to post but I’ll PM you later if that’s ok. Which depot is it for? Cheers.

Scotrail are looking for drivers out of Stranraer.

I recently passed my interview for a Conductor position with another TOC and did all the same things that AMD mentioned and it was definitely a big help. I also took a few train journeys out of the depot I applied for and spoke to the Conductor’s on board to get some extra info on the job and...

How stupid can people be? This is a dream job for so many people and yet some throw it away through stupidity and laziness. Hopefully those who passed interview but missed out on jobs will now get the chance.

Thanks for the reply. There's a Conductor retiring in March/April of next year and another becoming a driver at some point so hopefully something will come of it for me.

How are you enjoying the job AS1990? Did your pay increase straight after passing out? I was recently placed in a Reserve Pool for 6 months for a Conductor role at Dumfries. Not really expecting much to come from that but trying to stay positive.

That gives me more hope that something might actually come from all this beavercreek.

Same here. I really felt for the people that got sent home early especially the 2 guys that already worked for Scotrail. Hoe bad must they have felt?

Yep, definitely a tough day. how did you 'enjoy' doing the mock tannoy announcement? I felt really pressured during that.
