I'd be interested to know what the long term plan is for the M4 elevated section.
It was closed some years back for urgent structural repairs, and more recently there have been lane closures on the A4 underneath for works on the structure.
Presumably these are all just kicking the can down...
The issue at Richmond seems to have been resolved thankfully.
Unfortunately 8 cancellations on the Windsors today and 6 on Shepperton. SWR still unable to reliably deliver the few 701 diagrams they are trying to run :'( Happy new year.
Had a ride on one earlier, I was a bit surprised that the superior acceleration didn't lead to us making up any of the delay caused by the speed restriction at Richmond (when is that due to be fixed?).
I understand all that, although only themselves to blame for being so far behind with it all.
Given how few services are running today though there is no excuse for short forming.
Again a 4 coach train on a match day extra today. Despite only running a Sunday timetable (as an aside I thought bank holidays were usually Saturday service) they couldn't muster an extra 450 from anywhere or rejig the diagrams to make sure the 4 car wasn't on that service.
By now they should...
How strange... I'm using the pixel 9 pro XL and this is what I get:
Image shows text advising national rail smartcard manager app not available for my phone.
Is this app still current? For me the Google play store says 'not available for your device because it was made for an older version of Android.' if people are still expected to use it but they don't bother keeping it updated that's pretty poor...
That diagram is booked to work the 16.50 Waterloo to Reading via Brentford, which is run specifically to deal with match day crowds. Good work
Yes, and the 701's were going to be in service in 2019. I'll believe it when I see it because the introduction so far gives me no confidence at all that things will improve quickly.
Disagree here, none of the 5 cars should be introduced until all of the 10 car units are in service. Given how much capacity SWR have cut over the past couple of years I wouldn't want to give them short trains - they will inevitably start running them as single units.
The 450 and 455 will...
I didn't catch the number but that must have been the one blocking platform 6 at Clapham when I was there earlier. It still had Windsor on all the displays so there were some confused passengers when the real Windsor train (15:13 I think) arrived on platform 5.
Thanks, I've found out you can start from anywhere - useful as depending on where I'm going I sometimes start at Heathrow T4.
This is happening to me too. On two occasions now I've pre loaded an Ashford to London 1-6 travelcard and been incorrectly charged £1.45
The first time I complained I...
3.1 KWH is a bit on the low side, accepting that is based on what they tested. I averaged 4.3 KWH over a year in my ID:3 doing over 10,000 miles.
It would have been higher if my wife never drove it with the heating and demister on full blast everywhere regardless of whether its needed or not <D
Cautiously optimistic and pleased SWR will be the first to go. Hopefully we'll get some improvements as the government will want to show the benefits of nationalisation
Suspect you are right - but then it isn't a revenue black hole. If it IS a revenue black hole and SWR know about it then they should be doing something about it.
I am very surprised they haven't targeted Kew Bridge on a match day. Anecdotally I am aware of a lot of ticketless travel from the...
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
