I was meeting a friend on Sunday and he said the Hounslow trains were rammed. 1tph is a pitiful service anyway and with all the extra people travelling from areas like Chiswick it was always going to be chaos.
Can anyone reccomend a decent (cheap) hotel/hostel in Inverness for one night in July? Ideally close to the station as I'll be on the 07:55 to KX the next morning.
Don't like Boris or Ken. I voted for Ken last time but won't do so this time - he loses more support every time he opens his mouth.
4 years ago a lot of my friends were students. It's frightening how many people voted for Boris "because he's funny".
Is there going to be a more permanent barrier separating the departure gates and the arrival gates? It's not exactly difficult to get through without a ticket at the moment.
It's telling me I have 0 unused vouchers, where presumably it should say I have 1 as I haven't booked the tickets yet? I've gone through the form on their website but they say they'll take 5 days to get back to me.

Got this reply from them...
Is anyone else having problems trying to book tickets using the 'free' ones?
I redeemed 900 points for a standard class return for two last night and can't book anything. I thought it may be an availability issue but it doesn't seem to work on any dates.
The journey I'm trying to book is...
It was more of a general point. I think it's fair that people doing the same jobs for the same orgsanisation should get the same benefits. That should be done by raising the remuneration of those at the bottom not the other way round.
Why should it be a race to the bottom? We should strive to improve working conditions not step back to the 19th Century.
That said I don't usually agree with Bob as I think he takes the **** with some of his demands but on this occasion I do. Good luck to those involved.
I don't really like either. I voted for Red Ken last time (based purely on what he'd done previously, don't like him at all as a person) but he loses more of my support every time he opens his mouth at the moment.
I voted for Ken (just) last time but won't do so this time, every time he opens his mouth he loses support. I'm no lover of Boris either though, bus fares in particular have gone through the roof since he took over and it's now £1.35 for a single on oyster! That said he apparently had to fill a...
If you want to demolish half of SW London you can make a back up line in to Waterloo... As it is there are other ways in to/ out of London for people who don't want to wait it out either from Paddington or Victoria and changing where nescasery...
A person hit by a train at Surbiton. Much as I'm usually quick to criticise SWT there's nothing they can really do here. They've been quick to get running whatever trains they can making use of the limited capacity in to Waterloo by turning trains at Surbiton, Woking or Basingstoke.
Hi all, sorry for a boring thread - I did a search but couldn't find anything.
I'm going to Bournemouth on Tuesday evening - am I right in thinking an off peak day return has no restrictions leaving Waterloo in the peak, only the super off peak has the restrictions?
