Travelled to Alicante on 19th and returned on 26th, on arrival, their airport Gestapo staff tried to make me register, I already am! Then went to e-gates, no problem, 5 mins if that, unfortunately no stamp, coming back was ridiculous, a queue a mile long as they force you to use the e-gates...
I was talking to the northern manager who is in charge of their ticketing stuff yesterday at work, he said that even thought they are changing to worldline, they will still issue CCST, as he said they are changing the Newbury grey printers to the updated Newbury black printers, I’ll believe that...
TTK defaults to Bog Roll, but all they need to do is click CCST before they issue the ticket, TPE booking offices use this, most staff just issue CCST here
Is Worldline the system that LNER use where there is not option for issuing on CCST? If so, I will use a TPE booking office where they have that option!
2Y00 1600 Sheffield - York on Sundays misses Rotherham, runs direct Meadowhall - Swinton
1777234046
1900 Scarborough - Sheffield, the 1957 Sheffield - Hull does aswell, its a route-retainer for Hull crews
At least you got a proper train for that part of the journey! No push-pull there! Run-round on arrival at Bratislava, and compartment stock on the Vienna end!
Yes, that was when I used it, got it from the booking office on the day because it’s FIP discounted, 19 for a return instead of a single, it states only the first day of validity rather than use, which may have confused the OP
As I live in Worsbrough, I have walked the section of the old Woodhead line from Wombwell to Silkstone on many occasions, even up to the old West silkstone Junction before one of the tunnels collapsed, meaning is inaccessible now
As per the title, I’m currently on the 1433 Kings Cross to Newcastle, and I’ve always thought the most boring bits are between Huntingdon and Peterborough, and then to Grantham, any other journeys between 2 station that are that boring! Worldwide suggestions welcome aswell
