Jealous! I always used to ask for it stamping, even when we were in EU! The lady border guard didn’t even have one, it was really quick, less than 30 seconds, there are no machines, you go to the desk

I've just asked a Northern Hull driver about this, P5 at Brid is only permissive in emergencies, eg to rescue a failed train, he said the 2306 pulls right up to the Scarborough end of the Platform when it arrives at Brid, so 2W09 would not have fitted, the inputs for Brid in Trust are done...
Drunken youths on the track, just before the station, it had to wait for police attendance to shift them, it was then held at Bridlington from 2304-2322 as Brid let the 2306 out first, even though 2W09 was running non-stop from there to Hull, so it had to wait until the 2306 cleared the section...
Looks like it’s do-able from Dusseldorf to Ulm, 1014, takes 6 hours, arrives at 1614, then there’s the ICE back at 1739, back at 2053, I’m going to do it, at least I’ll have FIP coupon for DB, sit in the bar coach on the way back!
Just looked at Wagenweb, looks like it booked until 9th July, I'm going to Dusseldorf 3rd-7th, so might go to Ulm on it, is it an unadvertised stop in Stuttgart just to change locos? DB site shows a 30 min stop in Plochingen
