SWR Missing out stops to make up time

I didn't know that a train fails PPM if it skips stops, thank you!

SWR Missing out stops to make up time

It won't have an effect on PPM (Public Performance Measure) which is only measured at the destination. But it will count towards cancellations and I believe it should impact the 'on time' score as well (if a train skips a stop it can't arrive on time surely?). Link to ORR methodology...

    Chiltern class 168 diesel/battery hybrid

Please move to an existing thread if there is one. I found this tweet about 168 329 which is starting testing as a hybrid. I don't know too much about the project. https://twitter.com/Rail_Photter/status/1386596892537147393

    HS2 construction updates

It's a shame they zoom in on the aggregate site at 06:54 which has nothing to do with HS2! Otherwise a really interesting video thanks for sharing.

HS2 6 monthly report to Parliament

Lorry routes, mud on roads and other factors important to communtiy experience ARE part of the contracts from HS2, this was mentioned to the select committee.

HS2 6 monthly report to Parliament

In an attempt to take a balanced view. I listened to most of the 2nd session of the select committee. The government is determined that HS2 will continue, and that it would be very expensive and damanging to stop now with thousands of people employed directly and in the supply chain. However the...

    3 aspect distant signal

Travelling from Hedge End to Eastleigh the signals are: 3-aspect distant (YGY) -> 3-aspect (GYR) -> 2-aspect (YR) with theatre route indicator for platform number. This must be because there is insufficient braking distance between the final two signals so there must be prior warning...

Crossrail - Construction updates and progress towards opening (now expected 24 May 2022)

I believe the two sidings are between the running lines. The train crosses over to the wrong line in the Westbourne park portal before terminating on the eastbound running line. You can see on here: http://cartometro.com/cartes/metro-london/

Solent Continuous Modular Strategic Planning May 2020

Fareham platform 2 was terminated when the A27 was dualled (in the 70s I think) . The bridge over the road needed replacing and they took the opportunity to use the platform with a reduced curvature on approach. I they want to use the full length of platform 2 I think they would need replace the...

Now that it is almost November, there is at least 6 months until temperatures will reach 30C. Is there a chance of getting drivers training whilst an Air-Con solution is sorted out simultaneously in time for next summer?
