It won't have an effect on PPM (Public Performance Measure) which is only measured at the destination. But it will count towards cancellations and I believe it should impact the 'on time' score as well (if a train skips a stop it can't arrive on time surely?).

Travelling from Hedge End to Eastleigh the signals are:
3-aspect distant (YGY) -> 3-aspect (GYR) -> 2-aspect (YR) with theatre route indicator for platform number.
This must be because there is insufficient braking distance between the final two signals so there must be prior warning...
I believe the two sidings are between the running lines. The train crosses over to the wrong line in the Westbourne park portal before terminating on the eastbound running line.
